I’ ve always regarded the relationship between a mother and a daughter very sacred.
I’ ve always believed that our mother’s role is the most important concerning our physical and mental development.
Have you ever thought of yourself being lucky for having a mother? I have. Especially now that she is not here.
Scenario:
Marielle: Mom will you read me a story please?
Mom: Sure sweety, which one do you want?
Marielel: Oh, great! I want the one with the fluffy cloud and the flying giraffe. I love this story!
Mom: Ok. Let’s see. Hm, once upon a time in kingdom far away from here there was a kind little giraffe that wanted to fly….
Some kids never had and never will hear a story from their mother’s mouth and receive that warm goodnight kiss…
This piece is dedicated to all those kids.
Dedicated to Svetlin Vassilev, maybe the best Bulgarian Illustrator who I happen to have once watched draw and tried to follow his technique in details. My wallpaper is somehow a recreation of his own illustrations for the thumbelina storybook, so this piece is purely a gift for him.
Time: A week more or less
Tools: Mechanic pencil 0,5, Adobe Photoshop CS3, Wacom Intuos 3 tablet and pen.

- Picture on the book: My drawing 4 years ago for passing the exams in illustration with traditional media (colour pencils used). We had to create a picture based on a story or poem. I chose a book with funny poems written by Rena Rossi-Zairi (title: “321 counting with Rena” )
